ARTIST STATEMENT

The driving force behind my concepts are irritating situations that makes me feel uncomfortable on my self agenda.

I mostly prefer glassware as a means of expression. The transparency of the glass makes it possible for the viewer to grasp the object together with the gaps, the bearer of fragility due to its structure and holiness through its relation to light.

In my opinion the concept of work is more important than its form and its material. However, it is so difficult to shape the glass that it is impossible to fascinate the viewer of the resulting work; it makes me very happy when the audience looks at my work and say, "Is this glass?". I feel like I have persuaded a viewer that something regarded as impossible. The viewer, who is not interested in the concept of my work, appreciates the technique, so I also reach that audience through my material.
